Nov 8th - Day 30

Day 30!

I laughed while running this final day, because it epitomized the struggles I've had getting motivated to run again.
I spent the latter part of this afternoon at Doc's with a colleague, drinking too much and complaining about work, then at home I cooked rare steak, ate waay to much and realized I still had to run. Crap.

1 mile to finish up my 30 days. Still buzzed, figuratively and literally. It's done. I have pushed through some tough moments, enjoyed fleeting spots of tranquility, and watched my fitness come back slowly. Along the way, I've endured friendly jibes, enjoyed friends cheering me on and come to realize that I am much happier when I can own BOTH positive and negative parts of my psyche.

Not sure where the future is pointing in terms of my running, but I want to thank all who have followed and sent encouraging notes, thoughts, and/or called me out for the self absorbed noob I am. I appreciate you. Who knows, I may continue to update this once a week... check back.

These pictures represent all the different parts of who I am, the 8 year old who wants to be a good kid, the possessed runner, and the worn out princess with an attitude.

No!!! Please don't let it end! How can I make it through a day without your blog?!?

It looks like your first blog was named "two forty five by twenty ten". This one was "30days30runs". So what will your next one be named? "Gawd, I Hope I Can Get Out of Bed Today" sounds about right. Ha!

Do I have to stop trash talking now that the first 30 days are over?

Keep running but perhaps you should leave your poor beagle alone! haha

Danny mentioned you as a possible pacer for LiveStrong in Feb. I'm guessing you're not in on this story yet, but the frantic training will make for good blog fodder. See you on the streets and in the swamp.
